Bobcats hoping to bounce back against Thunderbirds
Montana State looks to snap a four-game losing streak Saturday afternoon when the Bobcats host Southern Utah at 2 pm.
The Thunderbirds (8-11 overall, 2-6 Big Sky) dropped a 71-47 decision at Montana Thursday, but prior to that game had won two of three. Southern Utah battled the Cats for a full 40 minutes on December 28 in Cedar City before Montana State prevailed 104-99. MSU has scored at least 80 points in three straight against SUU, but the game that sticks in the memory banks is the 109-105 triple overtime decision in Reno last March that ended MSU's 2016-17 season.
The Thunderbirds are led by transfer Dwayne Morgan, who averages 13.9 points and 7.6 rebounds a game. His Southern Utah debut was a 15-point outing against the Cats earlier this season.
