The Montana State ski team finished fourth overall at the 2017 RMISA/NCAA West Regional Championships, which concluded Sunday with the men’s and women’s 15/20K freestyle.

Colorado won the league title with 672 points, followed by Denver 664.5, Utah 601, MSU 512.5, New Mexico 456.5, Alaska Anchorage 338.5, Alaska Fairbanks 224 and Wyoming 51.
Montana State was paced in the freestyle by freshman Kathleen O'Connell who finished 11th overall in 47:57.8. Also scoring for MSU were Johanna Taliharm, 16th, 48:46.2, and Anika Miller, 18th, 48:58.5.
Karsten Hokanson led the MSU men's team placing 12th overall with a clocking of 56:08.0. He was followed by Noah Andersen, 29th, 1:00:12.8, and Martin Muan, 31st, 1:01:42.8.
The Bobcats will be off this week, before heading to the NCAA Skiing Championships hosted by New Hampshire March 8-11.
