
McCutchen Brings in Athlete of the Week Honors

Carley McCutchen was named the Big Sky Conference field athlete of the week, after accumulating 5,321 points in her first heptathlon of the season. McCutchen led the 'Cats in all but one event during Thursday and Friday's competition, coming up just 70 points shy of her personal-best.
McCutchen ran a 13.98 100m hurdle race, putting her in the top 5 of MSU's all-time record book. The senior recorded a high jump of 1.52m and a shot put throw of 10.66m. She ended day one with a 25.12 second 200m.
The Buckley, Wash. native added 694 points to her total, clearing a height of 5.48 in the high jump. In her final two events, McCutchen threw the javelin 37.04m and ran a 2:24.17 800.
McCutchen and the rest of the Bobcats will be competing in Utah this weekend at the Utah Spring Classic and the Weber State Wildcat Invite.
