Track and Field Duo Brings in Weekly Honors

Montana State Track and Field brought in two more Big Sky Conference athlete of the week honors as Carley McCutchen was named Field Athlete of the Week and Heather Demorest earned Co-Track Athlete of the Week honors.
McCutchen kicked off the Mt. Sac Relays in California by breaking the school's heptathlon record with 5,461 points, ranking 21st in the country. The senior placed in the top ten in five-of-seven events and moved up to number eight on the Big Sky's top ten list. This is McCutchen's second field athlete of the week honor this season.
Demorest earned back-to-back track athlete of the week honors, placing fifth in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:22.54. This is the fastest time in the conference thus far in 2015 and the 12th fastest in the Division 1 West Region.
