MSU Track and Field Picked Fourth and Fifth in Preseason Polls

Montana State Men’s Track and Field was picked to finish tied with Montana at fourth, while the women’s side is predicted to finish fifth, released by the conference offices today.
Montana State Men's Track and Field was picked to finish tied with Montana at fourth in the Big Sky Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, while the women's side is predicted to finish fifth, released by the conference offices today.
Northern Arizona came in at number one for the men's and women's team, with Sacramento State filling in the second spot.
"The coaches' poll should really inspire our team," head coach Dale Kennedy said. "This be our launching pad towards the Big Sky Championships in Flagstaff at the end of February. Our tradition has always been to exceed the expectations of the Big Sky Conference coaches. We have a lot of respect for the many strong programs in the conference, but will refuse to settle for fourth and fifth place team finishes at the conference meet."
The indoor season officially begins this Friday as MSU hosts six other schools in the Montana State Open. The meet is set to begin at 4 p.m. with field events and 5 p.m. for track.
