Despite 21 kills from Kennadie Clute and 14 kills from Loni Kreun, it wasn't enough as Austin Peay handed Montana State a 25-22, 26-24, 25-27, 25-18 setback at the DISH Lady Vol Classic, Friday morning at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Clute, a sophomore outside hitter from Spokane, Washington is working her way back into the Montana State (3-7) starting rotation, after missing the past three weeks with an ankle injury. Clute posted a season-best 21 kills, but hit just .113 from the field. She recorded her first double-double of the season adding 15 digs.

Kreun, an outside hitter from Davis, California notched her fourth double of the fall with 14 kills and 15 digs. Libero Kasey Schlatter also posted double-digit digs with a team-high 16 saves.

Playing without its top middle blocker- Natalee Godfrey- who is sidelined with an ankle injury, true-freshman middle Jolie Meade tallied six kills, a .357 attack mark and three blocks.

"Jolie continues to impress with her ability to score points both blocking and attacking," Weindel added.

Austin Peay (5-9) was paced by Jada Stotts with 23 kills and 16 digs.

MSU will face Memphis and Tennessee on Saturday.
