Grosvenor Named Big Sky Athlete of the Week

Fast 800 outing gives junior runner honors in the final week of regular season.
The Big Sky Conference announce the Athlete of the Week Awards on Tuesday and junior middle-distance runner Grant Grosvenor earned the accolades in the final week of competition before the Conference Championships.
The Mill Creek, Washington native won the 800 at the annual Tom Gage Classic, held in Missoula, Montana this season. His time of 1:49.50 marks this first sub-1:50 finish this spring and the second fastest of his career. He currently leads the conference in the event and boasts the only time under 1:50. Regionally, he ranks 23rd in the West and 61st in NCAA Division I rankings. Grsovenor last received the weekly league honors back on April 16, 2013.
Montana State begins competition at the Big Sky Championships on May 14 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Other Men's Track Nominations: Steven Warner, Eastern Washington; Sheldon Prince, Portland State and Nate Jewkes, Southern Utah.
