Soratos Named Big Sky Track Athlete of the Week

Big week in middle distance races pays off for California native
The Big Sky Conference selected the Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the week of April 14. Cristian Soratos earned Track Athlete of the Week honors following a strong outing in Utah April 11-12.
Soratos a junior from Salinas, Calif., won the 1,500 at the Weber State Invitational on Saturday and placed third in the 800 at the Utah Spring Classic on April 11-12. His time of 3:45.86 in the 1,500 marks a lifetime best and league-leading time. He now ranks second in the Big Sky in the 800, as well, with 1:50.36.
This is Soratos' first outdoor athlete of the week award. He was named Indoor Track Athlete of the Week back on Feb. 5, 2013 along with his Distance Medley Relay teammates.
