Bobcats Host Eastern Looking for Strong Finish to Big Sky Weekend

MSU, Eagles enter Saturday's showdown 1-2
Montana State coach Brad Huse discusses his team's opponent Saturday, Eastern Washington, and pauses for a moment. Because he could very easily be describing the Bobcats.
MSU Game Notes vs. Eastern Washington
“They have a nice balance, they get production inside and outside,” he says. “They've been right on the verge of winning a lot more games than they've won. They've worked to improve the team chemistry. There's no one area you can slow them down in, because they do good things in every area.”
As his Bobcats (4-7 overall, 1-2 in the Big Sky) prepare to host Eastern (3-10, 1-2) at 7 pm Saturday, Huse sees his team in a similar light. “I think we're pretty similar, frankly,” Huse says. “I really like how our guys came together, competed together (against Portland State on Thursday). That piece of it is coming around for us.”
Both teams played without a leading scorer on Thursday – Justin Crosgile, who has paced the Eagles with 14.7 points a game, separated from the squad prior to Eastern's game at Montana, while the same happened to MSU's Jamie Stewart, who averaged 9.4 points through MSU's first nine games. In addition, the Bobcats' second-leading scorer, Antonio Biglow (12.3), remains under suspension.
Nevertheless, Huse enjoyed the Bobcats' effort in Thursday's 62-59 victory over Portland State. “It was a good team win.”
