Bozeman native to continue career at MSU
Heide to join Bobcats
Montana State Track and Field announced that Bozeman native Trina Heide will compete for the Bobcats this coming year.
Heide comes to the Bobcats from Heritage Christian High School in Bozeman where she holds school records in the 100m, 200m, 400m, high jump and long jump. Hiede earned two letters in track and field and four in basketball. She was set back in her later years of high school due to foot surgeries and a concussion from basketball. However, she returned to form her senior year. Unable to compete against Montana High School Association schools, she traveled to other private schools around the state in a shortened season.
Heide participated in music every year, including leading worship teams. She earned the Academic Athlete Award four years in a row and was given the Distinguished Christian High School Student Award for Outstanding Achievement in Athletics her junior year of high school.
Heide plans to major in Elementary Education at Montana State. Her father, Gale ran track for MSU from 1983-86, was the team captain from 1985-86.
