Track and Field Picks Up Two More Conference Athletes of the Week

Mohl, Tyrrell earned Big Sky Field honors
The Big Sky Conference announced that Jeff Mohl and Emily Tyrrell were named the conference Field Athletes of the Week for the week of April 23. (Complete Big Sky Release)
This is Tyrrell's third time this outdoor season earning the recognition following a superb outing in California over the weekend. Tyrrell placed fifth at the Mt. SAC Relays with a throw of 48.34m (158-07.00). She turned around and competed again on Saturday at the Beach Invitational, best the previous day's performance and won the event with a distance of 51.88m (170-02.00), not only another season best but also a US Olympic Trials B Standard. She is now ranked seventh in the West Region and eighth in the nation.
Mohl, earning his first outdoor athelte of the week award, also fared well at the Mt. SAC Relays, placing seventh in his division in the decathlon. He finished with an overall score of 7,528, marking a lifetime best for the Red Lodge, Mont. native. His score now ranks him second in the Bobcat record book. He is currently ranked 11th in the West Region and 15th in the nation.
