Macy Page leads the way with 17 kills

On Friday night, the Montana State volleyball team rallied in five sets to take a 22-25, 25-15, 18-25, 25-19, 15-8 win from the Wildcats in Ogden, Utah.
Leading the way for Montana State (14-9, 8-7) was Macy Page, who recorded 17 kills and hit .231 from the field in Swenson Gym. Also contributing with double digits kills was Sarah Horton and Eli Svisco with 15 and 14, respectively.
After Weber State (9-18, 2-13) took the first set, MSU came back to win the second as the Bobcats out hit the Wildcats .421 to -.062. Despite hitting .176 in the fourth set, Montana State was able to keep the momentum going into the final set hitting .611 to lock up the victory.
“At times Weber State played exceptionally well, we were fortunate enough to go into the fifth set and really take control,” said head coach Kyle Weindel.
Jennifer Lundquist dished out 50 assists, while adding seven digs for the Bobcats. Nicole Baker posted a match high 12 digs. Svisco and Horton each had seven digs as Kasey Schlatter contributed with six.
“Although Weber State was a handful for us, it was a team effort getting point production and digs from every position.”
MSU will travel to Pocatello for an 8 p.m. matchup with Idaho State tomorrow, Nov. 3.
