Mohl Named Big Sky Athlete of the Week

Red Lodge native's record breaking performance earns him his first weekly honors
The Big Sky Conference has named Jeff Mohl the Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 17, 2012.
Mohl won the indoor heptathlon at the MSU Combined Events Invitational on Tuesday, Jan. 10. His score of 5,521 marked a new Montana State program record and also launched him to a second place ranking in the NCAA in the event.
The previous school record was set by current Bobcat senior Asa Staven in 2010 with a score of 5,409. Staven finished second in the heptathlon at MSU Combined Events.
This is Mohl's first Big Sky Athlete of the Week recognition.
