After posting a 5-1 start in Big Sky play, Montana State faces a challenging stretch, starting Saturday. The Bobcats battle Montana in Missoula, the first of at least two renewals of the Bobcat-Grizzly rivalry this season, then head down the highway to face Idaho State in Pocatello on Monday. The Cat-Griz clash pits teams tied for second in the Big Sky as the conference season churns toward the mid-way mark. Montana, ranked 13th in the current mid-major top 25, boasts the dynamic inside-out attack of sophomore sensation Will Cherry (16.3 points, 3.1 steals and 4.3 assists per game, all among the top three marks in the Big Sky) and towering senior center Brian Qvale (13.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.3 blocked shots per game). Senior forwards Bobby Howard (15.1 ppg/7.2 rpg) and Erik Rush (15.8 ppg/4.9 rpg) continue to lead the Bobcats.
