Bobcats Battle Sac State in Hornets Nest Sunday Afternoon
1/16/2010 9:56:50 PM | Men's Basketball
Montana State faces an unusually-configured road trip this weekend, as the Bobcats play Sacramento State at the Hornets Nest on Sunday afternoon before taveling down the road for a Monday night contest at Cal State Bakersfield. The Bobcats fell victim to the balance of the Big Sky Conference last Sunday, when Eastern Washington snuck out of Bozeman with a 75-73 win just two days after the Bobcats had knocked league-leading Portland State from the ranks of the Big Sky unbeaten. The Bobcats square off with a pair of ascending programs. Sacramento State already owns seven wins after claiming just two a season ago, and the Hornets are playing solid basketball under second-year head coach Brian Katz. Bakersfield is in its fourth year of transition to Division I, and playing a brutally difficult schedule stands 2-14 on the season.
