MSU Men Take Montana Invite

The team was led by the first place finish of Matt Adams, who ran the course in 24:43. He was followed by Kyle King of Eastern Washington, Lynn Reynolds of Montana and teammates Patrick Casey and Graydon Curry tied for fourth and fifth at 25:08. MSU's Nick Atwood finished sixth with a time of 25:13.
Adams, one of only two MSU seniors, improved his time from a third place finish at the Fleet Feet Invite two weeks ago by 24 seconds. Three other 'Cats ran in the race: Carl Nysteun (11th), Tyler Noland (12th), Dan Jackson (15th) and Arick Zachman (33rd).
On the women's side, the MSU squad placed fourth in the meet. They were led by Heather Haug, who placed sixth running 18:40. She was followed by Kala Jauquet (17th), Rebecca Sorenson (19th), Corrine Malcom (23rd),Tara Will (31st), Christina Alexander (33rd), Larkin Guenther (36th), and Morgan Dunley (39th).
Heather Haug paced the Bobcats in sixth place. Kala Jauquet was 17th.
Montana's women won the team competition on the women's side and were led by Katrina Drennen who ran the course in 17:52. Stephanie Helm (College of Idaho) placed second.
The 'Cats compete next at the Pre-National meet Oct. 17.
