Jack Gillespie Class of ’70: Basketball Bobcat basketball great… Two-time All-American selection… MSU’s all-time rebound leader and second leading career scorer. A standout Basketball player who is the leading rebounder (1,011) and second leading scorer (1,543) in Bobcat basketball history… One of the few collegiate basketball players to have over 1,000 point and 1,000 rebounds in his career… Three-time all-Big Sky Conference selection and twice the league’s “Player of the Year”… Ranked in top 10 Big Sky career records in boh scoring and rebounding…Honorable mention All-America honors his final two seasons at MSU… Drafted in the National Basketball Association by Los Angeles (12th round) in 1969… Earned a bachelor’s degree in business from MSU in 1970…Played six years of professional basketball in Europe.
