Mary Kennelly joined the Montana State Athletics staff in March 2022 and serves as the Athletic Business Operations Manager and Insurance Coordinator. In her role, Mary manages the department’s financial operations, including deposits, income processing, petty cash inquiries, invoice payments, and supply ordering. She also oversees athletic trades, coordinating partnerships such as hotel accommodations and other service exchanges that support Bobcat Athletics operations.
In addition to her business management duties, Mary serves as the Student-Athlete Insurance Coordinator, acting as the liaison between health providers and the Athletics Department to ensure efficient care and coverage for MSU student-athletes. She also manages department-wide resources, including printing and vendor coordination.
Before joining Montana State, Mary worked for Blue Cow Car Wash in Kalispell, Montana, where she served as Manager for nine years, and at Bozeman Health for three years as Office Coordinator and later Office Coordinator Supervisor within the Physical Therapy Department and the MSU Bozeman Health Clinic.
Originally from Illinois, Mary moved to Colorado to pursue her education, earning her bachelor’s degree in Human Performance and Sport with a concentration in Sports Industry from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2009.
Mary resides in Bozeman with her significant other, Chris, their Bernese Mountain Dog, Bernie, and two stepchildren, Sami and Zev.
