Annual event creates opportunities for MSU student-athletes
BOZEMAN, Mont. (Oct. 27, 2026) – Just hours before packing Bobcat Stadium on Saturday afternoon to witness Montana State's 38-33 come-from-behind win against No. 22 Weber State, supporters of the university's athletic programs made Friday night's Blue and Gold Gala impactful and memorable.

Nearly 500 gathered for the annual dinner and auction, sponsored by Walker Excavation, in support of Bobcat student-athletes. The Gala generated $968,021 for athletic scholarships, a total which breaks the previous Gala record of $600,000 and was heightened by two gifts of over $100,000. Many of the student-athletes benefiting from the event enhanced the evening by participating in a panel discussion and serving as table and silent auction hosts.

"The success of the Blue & Gold Gala reflects the passion and pride for MSU Athletics," Montana State Director of Athletics Leon Costello said. "We are grateful for the generosity of our supporters, donors and sponsors, whose commitment fuels our student-athletes, coaches and programs now, and sets the stage for future growth. Together, we are honoring the tradition of excellence and investing in the championship spirit existing at MSU today."
