2020-21 Season: Ended year ranked seventh in program history by improving lifetime bests in both the indoor 800 (2:10.84) and outdoor 800 (2:11.00) … Took fifth at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships in the 800 crossing in at 2:11.79 … Placed eighth in the steeplechase (11:02.97) at the Big Sky meet and was a member of the team’s 4x400 relay squad … Had five first-place finishes over the course of the indoor and outdoor seasons … Member of MSU’s scoring lineup at the Big Sky Winter Cross Country Championships … Took 14th overall with a time of 18:10.0 in the 5K race ... Cross Country (Junior): Participated in five meets for the Bobcats … Member of MSU’s scoring lineup in four events … Finished 20th at the MSU Cross Country Classic (Sept. 21) … Took a season-best third in the MSU lineup at the Paul Short Run with a time of 21:23.0 in the 6K … Finished 43rd overall at the Big Sky Championships … Named the Big Sky Conference Fall All-Academic Team.
Indoor (Junior): Contributed to team score in three events at the Big Sky Conference Championships … Finished sixth in the 800 after completing a season-best time of 2:13.82 in the prelims … Member of sixth place distance medley relay squad and seventh place 4x400 relay squad … Appeared in five meets for the Bobcats … Took first in the mile and distance medley relay at the MSU Indoor Open (Feb. 7) … Also competed at the Husky Classic in Seattle … Named to the Big Sky Winter and Spring All-Academic Teams … Selected as a letterwinner by the coaching staff.

Cross Country (Sophomore): Appeared in two meets for the Bobcats … Fifth among Bobcat runners in both races … Took 56th at the Roy Griak Invitational (Sept. 29) … Finished 169th at the Pre-National Invitational on Oct. 13 with a time of 22:31.6.
Indoor (Sophomore): Did not compete in any meets.
Outdoor (Sophomore): Participated in the Big Sky Championships and appeared in two events … Made the 1,500 finals and finished 11th… Also took 13thin the 800 … Completed a lifetime best in the 1,500 of 4:36.27 to place a season-high fourth overall at the Triton Invitational (April 13) … Best time in the 800 of the season was 2:14.48 at the Beach Invitational on April 20 … Also ran the steeplechase at the Mt. Indoor (Freshman): Earned all-conference accolades in first appearance at Big Sky Indoor Championships … Member of MSU’s distance medley relay that finished third with a time of 12:17.83 at the Big Sky meet … Also finished ninth in the mile (5:14.83) at the conference championship … Joined Bobcat top 10 list at sixth in the 800 with a converted time of 2:10.90 during the Big Sky Tuner (Feb. 16) … Ranked 10th on the Big Sky performance list in both the 800 and the mile (4:52.96) … Completed first-place finishes in the 4x400 and distance medley relay in first collegiate track appearance on Jan. 12 at the MSU Invitational … Picked up first top showings in the 800 at the Bobcat Invitational (Feb. 2) and in the mile (5:02.38) at MSU’s Feb. 9 home meet … Named to Big Sky Winter All-Academic Team.
Outdoor (Freshman): Captured a silver medal and all-conference honors at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships in Moscow, Idaho … Finished second in the 3,000 steeplechase by crossing the line in 10:32.56 … Also took 20th in the 800 at the conference meet … Advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary Round and placed 39th among regional competitors in Sacramento … Established second fastest steeplechase in program history by recording a time of 10:21.63 at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 19 … Moved to 10th all-time in the 800 registering a mark of 2:12.40 at the Beach Invitational on April 21 … Steeplechase time was fourth fastest on the Big Sky performance list, 28th fastest in the West Region and 61st in Division I track … Opened season with two first-place showings at the Al Manuel Northwest Invite (March 31) … Also finished atop the 1,500 at the Cat-Griz Dual on April 28 … Placed among top three finishers on eight occasions … Named to Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team ... High School: Joined Montana State after competing and lettering multiple times in several sports at Charles M. Russell High School ... A volleyball and cross country standout during the fall season, Carlson made the all-state team in cross country for the second time by finishing third at the 2016 MSHA AA State Championships ... Earned her cross country team's Runner of the Year and Outstanding Senior awards after breaking the 3-mile school record ... Competing in Montana's highest class for the Rustlers, Carlson is a three-time all-conference selection andall-state honoree in track and field ... Wrapped up senior campaign with a third-place finish in the 400-meter run and fourth-place showing in the 800 at the Montana Class AA state meet ... Also was a member of two scoring relay squads ... As a junior she finished second in the 400, sixth in the 800 and long jump, as well as seventh in the triple jump ...
