Indoor (Freshman): Appeared in two events at the Big Sky Indoor Championships … Placed 19th in the shot put and 27th in the weight throw at the conference meet … Achieved a lifetime best in the weight throw with a mark of 39-03.75 … Finished as high as second during the season in the shot put at the Bobcat Invitational (Feb. 2) … Shot put at meet of 40-00.50 was a personal best … Took third in the shot put on three occasions … Named to Big Sky Winter All-Academic Team.
Outdoor (Freshman): Placed 19th in the shot put and 31st in the hammer throw at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships … Earned lifetime bests in the discus (110-00) and the hammer (130-09) during the season … Finished third in the shot put and hammer at the Cat-Griz Dual on April 28 … Named to Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team.
High School: Graduated from Frenchtown High School in 2017 ... Advanced to the MHSA Class A State Championships on four occasions, scoring for the Broncs in each appearance ... Captured her first state title by recording a lifetime-best throw of 40-04 at the Class A meet as a senior ... Capped a solid year in which Richardson won the divisional crown, earned five victories and finished in the top three in all shot put events she participated in ... Also placed a career-best ninth in the discus at the Class A meet and set a personal best during the year of 119-05 ... Took fifth in her first state meet in the shot put, then placed fifth as a sophomore and fourth as a junior ... Over that time, she racked up double-digit top-four finishes while also qualifying and competing in the discus at state.
