JUNIOR (2016):
Rutecki played in all 91 sets for the Bobcats as a junior and averaged a team-high 5.87 assists per contest in MSU's 6-2 offense...was in double-digit assists in 23 of 25 matches...posted a season-high 45 assists in MSU's season-ending five-set loss at Idaho...tallied 13 matches with 20 or more assists...recorded four double-doubles on the season...notched a season-best 14 digs in MSU's 3-2 win over Weber State...notched a season-high five kills against Eastern Washington and Idaho in the final two matches of the season...recorded 19 aces, which was second best on the squad...recorded a season-high three aces in Montana State's 3-1 win over Jacksonville State...was an All-Big Sky Conference Academic selection.
JUNIOR COLLEGE:
Katie Rutecki dished out 10.87 assists per set at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, Calif., last fall. Under her leadership at the setting position, the Cougars posted a 26-4 overall record. For her efforts, Rutecki earned Western State Conference First-Team honors as well as CCCAA All-Southern California Regional team kudos.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Rutecki prepped at John Burroughs High School where she garnered first and second-team All-Pacific League accolades. In addition, she was a scholar-athlete recipient.
PERSONAL:
She is the daughter of Shannon Rutecki.
