Sawyer Kesselheim enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Montana State ski program after spending the past two years as a coach and guide for athletes on the U.S. Paralympic Ski Team.
Last season, he participated in the PyeongChang Winter Paralympic Winter Games where he and his visually-disabled athlete won a silver medal in Nordic skiing.
Kesselheim brings a breadth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the MSU ski program. A 2016 graduate of Montana State with a degree in exercise science, he garnered All-America honors at the 2014 and 2016 NCAA Championships.
Kesselheim was voted the Montana State Student Athlete of the Year in 2016, was captain of the Nordic team, and served two years as a SAAC representative. Kesselheim, a Bozeman native, spent his junior years training and racing with the Bridger Ski Foundation.
