Indoor (Freshman): Ended season with 18th-place finish in the 5,000 at the Big Sky Conference Championships … Competed in five meets during season … Set nonconverted lifetime bests in the 5,000 (14:36.15) and in the mile (4:17.03) at the Husky Classic in Seattle from Feb. 14-15 … Had a first-place showing in the 5,000 to open the season at the Bobcat Preview on Dec. 6 … Also took second in the 3,000 with a personal-best time of 8:39.38 at the MSU Indoor Open (Feb. 7) … Named to the Big Sky Winter and Spring All-Academic Teams … Seleced as a letterwinner by the coaching staff.

Cross Country (Freshman): Appeared in every meet Bobcats competed in as a team … Finished in MSU’s scoring lineup in four of five meets … Finished as high as third among Bobcats and took 22nd overall in first Big Sky Championship (Oct. 27) … Completed season-best 8k time of 24:36.5 … Placed sixth overall, and was the Bobcats’ fourth fastest runner, at opening MSU Cross Country Classic (Sept. 15) … Closed out year by taking 77th overall at the NCAA Mountain Region Championship.
Indoor (Freshman): Did not compete in any meets.
Outdoor (Freshman): Participated in two events at the Big Sky Conference Championships … Took 11th in the steeplechase (9:37.06) and led team with 12th-place finish in the 5,000 (15:21.17) … Had three first-place showings during the season in seven meets competed in … Set a lifetime best in the steeplechase of 9:25.06 while taking first at the Triton Invitational (April 13) … Finished first in the 1,500 behind a personal-best mark of 4:00.50 at the MSU Open (April 20) … Also ran the 800 and clocked a time of 1:58.34 … Took first in the steeplechase at the Cat-Griz Dual on April 27 … Ran the 5,000 at UCLA’s Bob Larsen Distance Carnival and crossed the line in 14:45.70 ... High School: West earned his first individual state title this fall for Charles M.
