2010-13 Foothill College Offensive Line
Joshua Taufalele’s second season as Montana State’s offensive line coach ended with his group posting a productive and well-balanced season that ended in the FCS Playoffs second round. The Cats in 2018 finished 18th in the FCS in rushing yards and 12th in fewest sacks allowed as the offense made a summertime transition from a third-year starting quarterback to Troy Andersen, who hadn’t played that position since high school. The offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Foothill College (California) in 2016, Taufalele spent the 2014 and ’15 seasons as the offensive line graduate assistant on the same Washington Huskies staff as Jeff Choate. Previously, he coached at Foothill from 2010-13. Taufalele played at Foothill in 2006 and ’07, helping lead the Owls to back-to-back 10-1 campaigns while earning all-league and all-state honors as a sophomore, before transferring to New Mexico. He started 24 straight games for the Lobos in 2008 and ’09, earning Academic All-Mountain West honors twice. He was named New Mexico’s top offensive lineman as a senior, and graduated in 2010 with a sociology degree before earning his Master’s in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership: Coaching from Washington in 2017. He and his wife Fuatino have three sons, Bayley, Reign, and Jethro.
