BOBCAT SPORTS APPLICATION FAQ
1. Why do I need the Bobcat Sports App?
The Bobcat Sports app, designed for Android and iPhone, was created to provide information on Bobcat Athletics to the casual fan and up-to-the-minute information about the Bobcats to the die-hard fan.
2. What does the app do?
The app can be broken down into three different parts. First, the app delivers information and stories in the form of an update as soon as our SID’s (Sports Information Directors) post it on the official website, msubobcats.com. The user can customize the information he/she receives by updating PUSH notifications in the “Settings” section (see question #3). Second, the app serves as a place to find all information pertinent to Bobcat Athletics: rosters, scores, standings, and all of the department’s social media accounts. Finally, fans can view many bobcat games and contests on television and in person throughout the nation. The third part of this app allows fans to view where and when the game is being broadcast or held, or post viewing parties on the “virtual bulletin board” and share details/post pictures of all of the fun that is being had near you.
3. How do I set my PUSH notifications?
Customize your PUSH notifications by selecting the “Settings” button in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Simply select the sports you would like to hear more about by placing a check in the appropriate box.
4. How do I find information about viewing parties in my area?
Select the “Events” icon on the bottom of the screen and view all information pertaining to viewing parties near you.
5. How do I create an event?
Select the “Create Events” button, located in the upper right hand corner of the app, to the left of the “Settings” button, and log-in/register to begin.
6. Is the Bobcat Sports App free?
Yes! Bobcat Sports is free for everyone and can be downloaded by scanning the following QR code, visiting bobcatapp.com from your Android or iPhone, or downloading from your phone’s app store.
