Montana State: (2014) Enters 2013 in competition for playing time at center… the team’s most physical low-block player, has proven a solid defender. (2013) Played in 29 games, starting six… averaged 2.0 points per game, but was third on the team with 10.0 points per 40 minutes… averaged 1.5 rebounds, but was fourth on the team with 7.6 rebounds per 40 minute… grabbed 23 offensive rebounds, fourth on the team… scored 14 points in back-to-back games against North Dakota and Northern Colorado in early February. (2012) Played in 14 games on the interior, averaging just under five minutes per game… shot 43% from the floor, with a 2-for-3 outing in a season-high 12 minutes at Portland State… season-high five boards against Willamette. (2011) Redshirted at MSU.
Big Sandy: A four-year standout at Big Sandy, earning Class C All-State honors all four seasons… averaged 18 points and 15 rebounds a game as a senior, 21 points and 13 rebounds as a junior, 23 points and 14 rebounds as a sophomore… also starred in football and track.
Academics: An exercise science major with designs on a career as an athletic trainer… was Class President and Student Body President at Big Sandy High, graduating first in his class.
Personal: Born Blake Patrick Brumwell on February 22, 1991 in Havre… the youngest of Larry and Chris Brumwell’s three children… his brother Gage played basketball at Carroll College.
