Bio
Montana State (2012) Recognized throughout the program as a peerless leader and teammate whose presence was crucial to MSU’s success… played in all 13 games as a triple-threat running back, anchoring and rarely missing a down on each of the squad’s special teams units… finished third on the team with 34 catches, logging 254 receiving yard and four touchdown catches… fourth on the team with 54 carries, 195 rushing yards, and four scores on the ground… finished with 15 career touchdowns… season-high 58 yards on 21 carries against Eastern Washington… scored at least one touchdown in six straight games (from Drake in game two until EWU in game seven), but none thereafter… named a team captain based on a vote of teammates during the spring… a key cog in MSU’s run game, opens the season in the team’s rotation with (2011) Earned Big Sky Conference Newcomer of the Year honors… named MSU’s Jan Stenerud Special Teams Player of the Year… played in all 13 games… carried 122 times for 641 rushing yards and five touchdowns… caught 18 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns… gained 154 yards against Idaho State, carrying just 10 times.
Nebraska A former prep teammate of McGhee’s at Euless (Tex.) Trinity High School, Robinson rushed for 67 yards on 24 carries for Nebraska as a sophomore in 2010, including a 13-carry, 55-yard game against Colorado... rushed for 165 yards on 39 carries as a freshman in 2009.
High School As a senior at Trinity in 2008, Robinson rushed for 614 yards on 112 carries, scoring 11 rushing touchdowns... also caught 10 passes, and was rated one of the top 25 prospects in Dallas-Fort Worth and one of the top 70 running backs in the U.S.
Academics A sociology major.
Personal Born Dontrayevous Rashard Robinson on November 8, 1990 in Houston… one of two children of Donald and Linda Robinson… married to the former Gaberiella Heimuli, whose brother played football at Texqs A&M… the couple had their first child this fall.
