Bio
Montana State (2012) One of the key moments of Montana State’s 2012 season came months before the team first played a down, when Steven Foster agreed to move from tight end to tackle… stabilized MSU’s extremely young offensive line, earning Second Team All-Big Sky honors and starting all 13 games… recognized for his aggressive, physical play, registering several dominating one-on-one pancake blocks in each game. (2011) Played in all 13 games, starting 11… earned Second Team All-Big Sky honors at tight end… caught 10 passes for 68 yards, and his two touchdown catches (vs. PSU, WSU) came on the road… had a pair of two-catch games. (2010) Played in all 12 games, primarily on special teams but with some work in three tight end sets… caught a pair of passes, for eight yards... a D’Agostino Family Strength Award winner during the spring for his off-season weight room work. (2009) Played sparingly, primarily on special teams. (2008) Redshirted at MSU.
High School A three-time academic all-state selection, who was voted Most Inspirational in both football and basketball… also an all-state choice in football… helped lead the Bengals to the state semifinals in football and the state tournament in basketball… chosen for the Montana East-West Shrine and Mon-Dak all-star games.
Academics A political science major.
Personal Born Steven Whitcomb Foster on June 8, 1989 in Helena… one of two children of Deb Whitcomb and Joe Foster… played prep ball with Bobcat teammate Reil Cornelius, Carroll’s Spencer Chamberlain, and Wyoming’s Josh Leonard.
