BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana State finished second in the 2024-25 Big Sky Conference All-Sports Trophy competitions in both men's and women's athletics, the Big Sky announced today.
The Cats finished behind Northern Arizona in both the men's and women's all-sports races. Montana State claimed conference championships in football and women's basketball in 2024-25, and finished as the league runner-up in men's and women's cross country, men's and women's indoor track and field, and men's and women's outdoor track and field.
Two of Montana State's most successful varsity programs, men's and women's rodeo and Alpine and Nordic skiing, don't figure into the all-sports trophy races. Neither are sanctioned by the Big Sky Conference, and rodeo is not an NCAA sport.
