Eight Bobcats Lauded by NFF Hampshire Honor Society

MSU's legendary senior class receives more honors
BOZEMAN, Montana – Eight of Montana State's most decorated football players added to their honors on Wednesday when they were named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society.
Offensive tackle Tian Fleischmann, defensive end Brody Grebe, punter/kicker Brendan Hall, quarterback Tommy Mellott, center Justus Perkins, long snapper Tommy Sullivan, linebacker Danny Uluilakepa and offensive guard Marcus Wehr were among the 2,532 players from 339 schools honored by the NFF in 2025, the program's 19th and largest class.
The program is open to football student-athletes from NCAA, NAIA and sprint football programs who maintain a 3.20 cumulative grade point average (GPA) out of 4.0. Players must also be a graduating or graduated senior or a player with remaining eligibility who earned his bachelor's degree and competed in 2024.
Each of MSU's honorees earned All-Big Sky honors during their career, and seven landed All-America honors. Grebe was 2024 Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year, was one of 16 NFF Scholar-Athletes and was FCS ADA Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Mellott was Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year last fall and landed MSU's first Walter Payton Trophy as the top offensive player in the FCS. Wehr became the first two-time First Team All-America offensive lineman in Bobcat history during the two-platoon era. Sullivan played in more games than anyone in Bobcat history, and Perkins was traveling that same path until an injury derailed that last fall. Fleischmann was a first team all-league choice, and Uluilakepa was second team in spite of missing half the season with an injury. Brendan Hall was an All-America punter in 2023 who was the most efficient and effective kickoff specialist in the FCS over the past two seasons.
