Bobcats Play Seven Home Games in 2025
BOZEMAN, Montana – Beginning with the traditional Gold Rush game on September 6, Montana State celebrates a wide range of events during its seven home football games in 2025.
The Bobcats open the 2025 home season on September 6 hosting South Dakota State for MSU's 18th Gold Rush, welcoming one of the top teams in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) to Bobcat Stadium. The Jackrabbits' most recent visit to Bozeman was the 2021 FCS semifinal game that boosted the Cats into the national title game.
That contest kicks off four straight home weeks for the Bobcats, Montana State's longest stretch of regular season home games since the 1991 season. The 1925 Bobcats played six consecutive home games at the second Gatton Field, and won six of their eight home games that season under Ott Romney.
Bobcat Stadium's second 2025 game, on September 13 against San Diego, is the annual Pack the Place in Pink game, which raises awareness and funds for breast cancer prevention. The Mercyhurst game on September 20, Band Day, brings together high school bands from across the state in Bobcat Stadium, while MSU's fourth September game, on the 27th, marks the school's Homecoming weekend. Big Sky rival Eastern Washington serves as this year's Homecoming foe.
MSU's Parent and Family Fall Weekend arrives on October 11, when Idaho State visits Bozeman. The Bengals and Bobcats first got together in 1923, making this the longest-running out-of-state rivalry that MSU renews this season. On November 8, Weber State serves as the Ag and Military Appreciation opponent on November 8, and UC Davis closes the regular season home slate for Senior Day on November 15. The Bobcats also celebrate Native American Heritage on that day.
Single game tickets go on sale to Bobcat Club contributors on July 28 and to the general public on August 4. For more information visit msubobcats.com/tickets.
