The Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association released its 2025 All-RIMSA teams, and five Montana State skiers earned the recognition for their efforts this winter.
The teams are determined by the final NCAA Qualification lists with the first five skiers in each discipline earning first-team honors and the next five on the second team, with ties expanding the teams. The honorable mention includes any skier not already mentioned who finished in the top 10 of one of the two discipline seeding lists.
Named to the All-RMISA Second Team from MSU are Jamie Casselman (men's alpine), Tea Kiesel and Justine Lamontagne (women's alpine), and Anna Pryce (women's Nordic). Katey Houser of the Bobcat Nordic squad garnered All-RMISA Honorable Mention honors.
Casselman, a graduate student from Cranbrook, B.C., had two podium finishes this season, finishing second in giant slalom at the Alaska Anchorage Invitational and RMISA championships. In twelve races this winter, Casselman placed in the top 20 of giant slalom and slalom on ten occasions.
Kiesel, a freshman from Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Lamontagne, a junior from Mont Sainte-Anne, Quebec, anchored the Bobcat women's alpine squad this season. Kiesel recorded seven top 10 finishes during her first season at MSU, including a third place showing at the RMISA Championships in slalom, last week. Lamontagne, a two-time All-America performer, was runner-up in giant slalom at the MSU Invitational in January.
Pryce, who will be making her third NCAA appearance, competed in 12 events this season, notching seven top 10 finishes. The product of Canmore, Alberta, finished runner-up in classic sprints at the Alaska Fairbanks Invitational on Feb. 16. Houser, a junior from Palmer, Alaska, finished in the top 10 on four occasions this winter, including a season-best fourth place showing at the UAF Invitational in the 10K freestyle.
Casselman, Kiesel, Lamontagne, Pryce, and Houser, along with teammates Isak Staurset, Gianluca Boehm, Ylva Falksete, Grey Barbier, Gavin Galyardt, and Kate Oldham, compete at the NCAA Championships, March 5-8, in Hanover, N.H.
