Justin Lamson looks to extend his efficient passing
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2025) – Paul Wulff certainly cuts a familiar figure on the opposing sideline for Bobcat fans. Cal Poly's head coach is the only man to face Montana State leading three different programs as its head coach.
Wulff's coaching career will forever be linked to the Bobcats. His head coaching career began when Mike Kramer left Eastern Washington for Montana State after the 1999 season. The Eagles elevated Wulff to head coach, and he won six of his eight meetings with the Bobcats from 2000-07. In 2008 he moved on to his alma mater, Washington State, and in 2010 the Cougars beat the Bobcats.
Before the 2023 season, Wulff was elevated to head coach after Beau Baldwin's departure. Montana State topped the Mustangs 53-19 in Bozeman that season.
