BOZEMAN, Montana – In the 30th anniversary season of the Buck Buchanan Award, Montana State defensive end Brody Grebe is among the 30 players on that honor's preseason watch list, Stats Perform announced Wednesday.
Grebe enters his senior season as a two-time All-America, having also earned First Team All-Big Sky honors as a sophomore and junior. He finished ninth in the FCS in sacks (10.0, or 0.83 a game) in 2023. The mechanical engineering graduate from Melstone was also named First Team CSC Academic All-America a year ago, earning FCS Athletic Directors Association Scholar-Athlete honors.
Two Bobcats (Caleb Schreibeis in 2012 and Brad Daly in 2013) previously won the Buck Buchanan Award, which is named for the legendary Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman who starred at Grambling State during his Hall of Fame career. All 13 FCS conferences are represented on the list. Grebe is among the 10 previous finalists for the award.
