CU INVITE FINAL RESULTS

Behind the runner-up performance by sophomore standout Tilde Baangman the Montana State ski team finished fourth at the Colorado Invitational on Saturday at Steamboat Resort/Howelsen Hill.

Behind the runner-up performance by sophomore standout Tilde Baangman the Montana State ski team finished fourth at the Colorado Invitational on Saturday at Steamboat Resort/Howelsen Hill.

Baangman posted a time of 1:07.23.8 in the 20K classic, finishing 5.6-seconds behind Colorado's Hanna Abrahamsson. Also, scoring points for the Bobcats were Kate Oldham, sixth, 1:08:40.5, and Emma Albrecht, 14^th, 1:10:42.2. In all, the trio registered 81 points, which was the second-best women's total of the event.

Anna Pryce, 18^th, 1:12:58.8, Rosie Whittington-Evans, 20^th, 1:13:08.1, Katey Houser, 22^nd, 1:14:06.7, Lily Murnane, 30^th, 1:18:50.2, and Helen Wilson, 32^nd, 1:20.50.2 completed the course for MSU.

Kai Meyers paced the Bobcat men's Nordic squad placing sixth in 1:00.50.2. Florian Winker, 10^th, 1:01:23.8, and Fredrik Nilsen, 12^th, 1:01:55.0 rounded-out MSU's scoring.

Denver's Andreas Kirkeng won the individual title in 1:00:29.3.

Also, posting times for the Bobcats were Phineas Fischer, 19^th, 1:04:00.2, Joel Power, 20^th, 1:04:03.1, and Gavin Galyardt, 21^st, 1:04:52.2.

In slalom action, Nellie Talbot notched MSU's top finish, placing 18^th with a two-run total of 1:30.79. Also, producing points were Lana Zbasnik, 23^rd, 1:32.23, and Brynne Hitchcock, 24^th, 1:32.50.

Henry Heaydon had the top showing for the MSU men's alpine contingent placing 18^th in 1:23.45. He was followed by Jamie Casselman, 19^th, 1:23.51, and Dawson Yates, 24^th, 1:26.71.

Colorado took the team title with 671 ½ points, followed by Denver 635, Utah 586 ½, MSU 495, Alaska Anchorage 428, Westminster 238, Alaska Fairbanks 219, Nevada 127, and Colorado Mountain 86.
