Bobcat Men's Tennis Team Finds Success at ITA Regionals

Andre Stewart, Dmitry Bezborodov earn singles wins in Las Vegas
BOZEMAN, Montana – Andre Stewart won a pair of singles matches and Dmitry Bezborodov one as Montana state "competed well" at the ITA Fall Regional Championships in Las Vegas last weekend.
The fall regionals brings together the top players in each region and is considered one of each season's most important tournaments because of the high level of competition.
Bobcat sophomore Andre Stewart won a pair of matches, beating Nevada's Axel Huysmans and Kai Mills of Northern Arizona. He dropped matches to David Duong of BYU and Rikuto Yamagutchi of Denver. MSU transfer Dmitry Bezborodov split a pair of matches, topping Takumi Katsuda of Northern Arizona after dropping a match to Ryoma Misihiro of Denver. Harrison Janes of MSU finished 0-3 on the weekend.
"The competition at this tournament is very strong," said Bobcat coach Mateus Ceolin, "but the guys competed well. We have two weeks off until (the fall season finale at) Gonzaga and we'll keep working to get better every day."
MSU's final tournament of the fall begins November 8 in Spokane.
