Linebacker Neil Daily makes his first start for MSU this afternoon...
BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana State's on-the-fly lineup shuffling continues today in Portland with the loss of a pair of key contributors.
Linebacker Bryce Grebe, slotted to start after Danny Uliulakepa's injury last week, will miss today's game. Neil Daily start in his place, with Ryan Krahe backing up both the Will and Mike positions. At running back, Adam Jones will miss today's game with an injury. Jared White moves behind Scottre Humphrey on the depth chart. Julius Davis, the returning starter at running back, traveled this week and his availability is a game-time decision.

Bobcat coach Brent Vigen is on the doorstep of a milestone. With a win in one of MSU's next two games, Vigen becomes the first Big Sky Conference football coach to win at least 40 games in his first 50 games. By beating Idaho for his 39th win last week, he moved out of a tie at 38 with UM's Bobby Hauck and Tony Knapp of Boise State, and into a tie with Mick Dennehy of UM.
Vigen is a win away from moving into a tie with Mike Kramer in 4th place on MSU's all-time wins list. His 26 home wins is 3rd in Bobcat history in that category.

Bobcat quarterback Tommy Mellott is also moving up a significant wins list. His 25 victories as Montana State's starting quarterback is tied for third with Bobcat legend Travis Lulay, who is expected to be at today's game. His next win moves him into a second place tie with Paul Dennehy, like Mellott a product of Butte. DeNarius McGhee's 30 wins is the school's all-time record.

Today's game marks Montana State's third trip to Hillsboro Stadium. The Cats beat PSU 30-17 in 2021 and 43-23 in 2018.
