
Ten Bobcats Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Distinction

Both men and women named All-Academic Teams, marking fifth straight year under Lyle Weese that both Montana State track and field teams earn spot on list
BOZEMAN, Montana – Ten members of the Montana State men's and women's track and field teams were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes for the 2023 season, and both squads were designated as All-Academic Teams, marking the fifth straight year under Dale Kennedy Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Lyle Weese that both teams received the honor.
On the women's side, Maisee Brown, Elena Carter, Lucy Corbett, and Camila Noe all received All-Academic Athlete distinction.
On the men's side, Chris Bianchini, Matt Furdyk, Duncan Hamilton, Rob McManus, Owen Smith, and Colby Wilson all landed spots on the list.
Criteria to be named an All-Academic Athlete by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association includes holding a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and finishing in the top 96 in any championship individual event or in the top 48 in any championship relay event for the most recent indoor season or participating in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships or finishing the season ranked in the top 48 in the East or top 48 in the West for the most recent outdoor season.
To be named an All-Academic Team by the USTCCCA, the cumulative grade point average for all student-athletes on the institution's squad list must be 3.0 or higher.
