Bobcat duo feted by coaches association
BOZEMAN, Montana – Two Bobcats earned American Football Coaches Association All-America honors on Wednesday, the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) announced.
Consensus All-America Marcus Wehr, the top-rated offensive tackle in the FCS, continued to pile up honors. The junior from Billings anchored an offensive line that produced the FCS' second-rated rushing attack while allowing the 10th-fewest sacks in the FCS. Brendan Hall's efforts allowed the Cats to lead the nation in net punting.
AFCA FCS All-America
First Team – OL Marcus Wehr (6-4, 292, Jr, Billings, Montana)
Second Team – P Brendan Hall (6-9, 232, Jr, Springtown, Texas)
The AFCA began selecting an All-America squad in 1945, choosing University Division and College Division members from 1968-72, and from that point forward has selected teams by subdivisions.
