Bobcats Land 14 Players on All-Big Sky Football List

Brody Grebe and Derryk Snell repeat as first team selections
BOZEMAN, Montana – Eight players from Montana State earned First Team All-Big Sky honors on Tuesday and four of the team's five starting offensive linemen earned mention at some level, the league announced.
Junior defensive end Brody Grebe, named a finalist for the Stats Perform Buck Buchanan Award presented by FedEx Ground on Tuesday, and senior linebacker Nolan Askelson, whose 76 total tackles paced the team, earned first team defensive honors. Big Sky coaches named tackle Marcus Wehr and guard Rush Reimer, both juniors, to the first team offense. Seniors Treyton Pickering (tight end), Derryk Snell (fullback) and Sean Chambers (all-purpose) all earned first team honors, as well. Brendan Hall, who has the best punting average in the FCS (he missed the number of attempts needed to qualify for the rankings) and has helped the Cats lead the nation in net punting, was named First Team All-Big Sky punter.
Along with Reimer and Wehr, sophomore guard Omar Aigbedion earned second team honors and center Justus Perkins was named to honorable mention. The selections of running back Julius Davis and quarterback Tommy Mellott gave the Cats nine all-conference offensive selections and 14 total choices. Defensive tackle Sebastian Valdez earned second team honors, and safety Rylan Ortt was named honorable mention at defensive back.
The offensive line allowed Chambers, Mellott and Davis to help the Cats lead the Big Sky in rushing offense at 293.4 yards per game. Snell and Grebe are returning first team selections from 2022, and Reimer was a second team choice who earned All-America honors a year ago. He moved from tackle to guard this season.
