6th Annual Event Held Friday, October 13
BOZEMAN, Montana – With more than 500 Bobcats in attendance and more bidding on-line in a silent auction, Montana State University Athletics raised over $500,000 during the 6th Annual Blue & Gold Gala Presented by Security Title in Worthington Arena on Friday, MSU Director of Athletics Leon Costello announced.
The sold-out event serves as a celebration of Bobcats Athletics, which enjoyed an unprecedented run of success in the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years. The list of successes includes two Brawl of the Wild Trophies, back-to-back Big Sky Conference Men's All-Sports Trophies, and the 2022-23 Big Sky Conference President's Cup presented to the league's top athletic program combining academic performance and athletic achievement. But it also serves an important fund-raising role.
"The Blue and Gold Gala is truly a special night celebrating the successes of Bobcat student-athletes and raising critical funds for their scholarships," Costello said. "Each year our fanbase rises to the occasion and this year was no different as another record was set with over $500,000 raised to support the Bobcat Club. A huge thank you goes out to all the coaches, staff, student-athletes, donors and sponsors that made the night an unforgettable one."
The event's proceeds benefit the Bobcat Club's Annual Scholarship Fund for MSU student-athlete scholarships. Representatives of each Bobcat team participated in the evening, along with administrators, coaches and staff members.
