Bobcats Excel in Classroom During Fall Semester 2022

Montana State student-athletes post stellar work academically
BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana State student-athletes compiled a 3.29 average grade point average during the fall semester of 2022 with 72% of all Bobcats posting a GPA of 3.0 or better, MSU Director of Athletics Leon Costello announced.
"The academic success of our student-athletes truly remarkable," Costello said. "Their dedication to not only their sport, but their field of study is evident by these numbers. I want to thank all Bobcat student-athletes, coaches, and academic support staff for this amazing achievement."
Every Bobcat team compiled a grade point average of 3.0 or better. The women's tennis squad's 3.89 GPA led the way, with alpine skiing (3.71), men's tennis (3.67), women's cross country (3.62), women's basketball (3.55), women's track and field (3.55), women's volleyball (3.53), and women's golf (3.50) all topped a team mark of 3.50.
Individually, 48 student-athletes posted perfect 4.0 grade point averages in the fall semester and 34 more recorded all A's or A minuses. The women's track and field squad featured 10 student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
