Bobcats Tabbed Second by Big Sky Media, Third by Coaches in Preseason Football Polls

MSU enters 2022 as consensus top three pick in Big Sky
SPOKANE, Washington – Big Sky Conference media members tabbed Montana State as the second-best team in the Big Sky Conference entering the 2022 football season, while the league's coaches see the Bobcats finishing third. The league released its preseason polls on Monday.
The University of Montana was tabbed as the top team in the league by both the coaches and media, although only three coaches picked the Grizzlies first. Four coached see defending champion Sacramento State winning the league, while five pick the Cats first. Only three poll points separate projected champion UM (111) and third place Montana State (109), with the Hornets splitting the difference at 110.
UM received 14 first place votes in the media poll, while MSU gathered 13 and Sacramento State four. In both polls Weber State stands fourth, UC Davis fifth, Eastern Washington sixth and NAU seventh.
