Montana State faces a familiar foe on Friday night when it hosts former Big Sky Conference member North Dakota at 7:30 p.m. as part of a MSU men’s and women’s doubleheader.

FAMILIAR FOE: Montana State and North Dakota will meet for the 20th time on Friday night, with MSU holding a 12-7 advantage in the all-time series dating back to the 1976-77 season. The Bobcats hold an 8-4 lead in its all-time series with the Fighting Hawks while UND was a member of the Big Sky Conference. Montana State went 5-0 against North Dakota in Big Sky play within the warm confines of Worthington Arena.
BOBCAT BITES: Darian White was the first Big Sky Conference Player of the Week on Nov. 8 - the fourth time she has won the honor. For games Providence and BYU, she averaged 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and 2.5 steals per game, while shooting 58.5% and converting seven-of-11 free throws. She had her best outing of the season against BYU, guiding the Bobcats with 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals.
THE SCOUTING REPORT: North Dakota is 2-0 on the season with victories over Detroit Mercy (70-61) and Wyoming (67-55). MSU will play at Wyoming on Dec. 2. On the season, the Fighting Hawks have been led by Kacie Borowicz, a 5-9 senior guard from Rosseau, Minn. (a Minnesota hockey hot-bed), who averages 19.5 points and 7.5 assists per game. Also averaging double-digits is Claire Orth, a 5-10 guard from Lino Lakes, Minn., who averages 12 points and four rebounds per contest. Against Wyoming, Borowicz was the only UND player in double-figure scoring, pouring in 20 points on 8-of-21 from the field. In addition, she dished out six assists, and pulled down three rebounds against the Cowgirls. Under the glass, the Fighting Hawks have been led by Joli Danniger, a 5-7 guard from Andover, Minn., and a DePaul transfer, who is averaging 10.0 rebounds per game. Last season, UND defeated MSU in Grand Forks 89-85 paced by Borowicz, who scored 33 points, including a 20-of-20 effort from the free throw line. MSU was led in the loss by Lexi Deden with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
