Cats seek second straight win in San Luis Obispo for first time in history
SAN LUIS OBISPO, California - Montana State welcomes the return of quarterback Sean Chambers and receiver Clevan Thomas Jr. against Cal Poly, although defensive end Brody Grebe won't play.
Thomas returns from a compliance issue related to his time at Kentucky that cost him the two most recent games. Chambers missed the Weber State and Northern Arizona games with a leg injury. Grebe suffered a leg injury last week against Northern Arizona and will miss today's game. Montana State has played without a starter for at least one game at five different offensive positions, and six different defensive positions.

Montana State plays in Alex G. Spanos (formerly Mustang) Stadium for the 10th time in history this evening, and the team has won just three of the nine previous contests. MSU has never won two straight games in San Luis Obispo, but triumphed in the team's last trip here (34-28 in 2019).

That 34-28 victory came in overtime, Montana State's most recent extra period played, when Travis Jonsen scored on a touchdown run.
