Historic performance lands national honor for Chambers in first start at MSU
BOZEMAN, Montana - Quarterback Sean Chambers made history in his first start as a Bobcat Saturday, and reaped the rewards on Monday when he was named Fed X Ground FCS Offensive Player of the Week by Stats Perform. The Kerman, California product also reeled in Big Sky Conference honors.
The junior Wyoming transfer, starting behind center for the first time at MSU, became the second player in Big Sky history to throw and rush for over 200 yards in a single game in the Bobcats' 41-24 late night win over UC Davis. Chambers ran for 203 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries, throwing for 227 (13-for-21 with no interceptions) and two touchdowns. He is the first FCS player since 2018 to run and throw for over 200 yards in one game.
