Bobcats at ITA Mountain Regional Tournament

The Montana State women’s tennis team is competing at the 2022 ITA Mountain Regional tournament in Las Vegas this week.
The Montana State women's tennis team is competing at the 2022 ITA Mountain Regional tournament in Las Vegas this week. Play will take place Wednesday – Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the UNLV campus.
In all, five Bobcats will be participating, including JJ Chen, Marta Garcia-Reboredo, Felicia Jayasaputra, Mirte Van Baelen and Maria Villarejo. All five will compete in singles play, while Chen and Jayasaputra and Garcia-Reboredo and Van Baelen will represent MSU in doubles action.
"We are so excited to be headed to the ITA Regional Tournament this week," said first-year head coach Suzie Woodburn. "We have been training hard to feel prepared and ready to go. One of our goals is to compete in every match and to be able to find solutions on the court. It will be a great tournament."
Members from 19 western schools will compete, including Big Sky squads from Idaho, Idaho State, Montana, MSU, Northern Arizona, and Weber State.
"We are all excited to play at the tournament because it is a great atmosphere and a great opportunity to compete with the best in our region," said Bobcat junior Mirte Van Baelen. "We are going to give it our best!"
The Bobcats will close out its fall season at the Gonzaga Invite, Oct. 28-30 in Spokane, Wash.
