Creating "two distinct areas to better serve both our student-athletes and our outside constituents," Costello indicated that the revamped Internal and External areas each benefit from newly-promoted managers. The former Bobcat tennis player adds supervision of facility and game operations and support areas such as athletic training, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and mental health/performance. Goossens been with Bobcat Athletics in a professional capacity since 2012.
Casey Fox, in his fifth year at MSU and now Deputy Athletics Director for External Operations, supervises Bobcats Athletics' revenue generation and communication components. That includes the Bobcat Club and major gift fund-raising, Bobcat Creative Services, Athletics Marketing, and Communications, as well as serving as the liaison with Bobcat Sports Properties, the department's Learfield IMG arm. He also adds sport supervision duties for volleyball and women's basketball.
Jamie Rizzuto, who has overseen Bobcat Athletics' Academic Services team since 2008, becomes Senior Associate AD for Student Services/Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) reporting directly to the Director of Athletics. She adds sport supervision duties for the Bobcat ski program as well as all SWA responsibilities and management of student-athlete services. Along with Rizzuto, Assistant AD for Compliance Sean Dotson joins the Senior Administrative Team.
Camie Bechtold, who joined Bobcat Athletics in 2005 and rose to Senior Associate AD/SWA supervising all the department's student-athlete services including supervision of compliance, academic services, and financial aid, has moved into the role of Chief Compliance Office in the Office of the President at MSU. Costello indicated that Bobcat Athletics will work closely with Bechtold in her new role.
