Bobcats Tied for 7th in HERO Sports FCS Preseason Poll

Montana State, Weber State land as highest-ranked of five Big Sky teams
BOZEMAN, Montana – When Montana State opens the 2021 football season at Wyoming on September 4 in Laramie it will carry the program's highest preseason ranking in eight years. The Bobcats landed tied for seventh with Big Sky rival Weber State in the HERO Sports Preseason Top 25, released Thursday.
MSU is one of five Big Sky schools ranked by HERO Sports. UM enters the season ranked ninth, Eastern Washington is 16th, and Sacramento State is tied for 23rd with East Tennessee State. Reigning national champions Sam Houston State begins the fall ranked first, followed by James Madison, South Dakota State, North Dakota State, Southern Illinois, and Delaware.
The Big Sky Conference and Missouri Valley Football Conference each placed five teams in the poll.
